Chuck Elliott

Constructed photography / Digital drawings

Chuck Elliott is a distinguished British artist and a pioneer in the field of digitally generated fine art.  Now based in Bristol, UK, he has been using digital technology in his studio since the late 1980s, and claims to have used the first Apple Macintosh imported into the UK in 1984.

Chuck Elliott first exhibited his work with Art Movement in 1995 and we are delighted to be showing his work again.  For the past 20+ years, he has exhibited his work globally at numerous solo exhibitions, group shows and art fairs and maintains a prolific studio output.

Chuck Elliott's artistic practice is influenced by geometric art pioneers and the rhythmic patterns of modern music.   He is renowned for his mesmerising digital drawings and prints that investigate mark making at the intersection of light, colour, motion, and liquid geometry.

His process involves using high-end 3D computer modelling tools to build intricate digital sculptures, which are then translated into large format pigment prints on archival metallic paper. These works are often finished with a Diasec mount, bonded between two sheets of Perspex, creating a crisp, luminous aesthetic.

Chuck Elliott's career spans three decades of innovation, graduating with a 1st class degree in Graphic Art from the old Hornsey School of Art in 1992 and going on to found successful studios in both London and Bristol.  He continues to question contemporary definitions of drawing and printmaking in the digital age, exploring the latest digital tools through his sublime studies into line, colour, light, volume and form.

Pure logical progression.

We are delighted to exhibit Chuck Elliott's work at the gallery
