The rights to the artists’ work is their own and images or reproductions of them should not be used without permission.


This privacy policy will explain how The Art Movement Ltd uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

You directly provide The Art Movement Ltd with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online for any of our products or services

The Art Movement Ltd collects your data so that we can:

Secret Silent Auction 2026 Terms & Conditions 

 

● All artworks displayed in the gallery and in the auction on ‘IndyAuction’ website are available for sale as part of our  Secret Silent Auction. 

 

● Each work is labelled with a lot number, artist, title and description. Each work is given a guide ‘low estimate and ‘high estimate’ which is for your information only. The ‘starting bid’ is the lowest bid that may be accepted for the work.

● To make a bid for any of the lots, you need to click the artwork you like and click ‘Register to bid’.  Then you can follow instructions on how to place the bid.

● There is no limit to the number of bids you may submit. Multiple bids for an individual lot are acceptable if you decide to raise your bid. 

● There will be an auction fee percentage charge added to the cost of each sale (via IndyAuction website).

● The successful bid is the final price due for the lot. Where applicable, VAT, Artist’s Resale Right, and framing costs are included in the retail / reserve price as the artwork is displayed at the auction. 

● The deadline for all bids is 6pm on 31 July 2026. If you have any trouble placing a bid or need to ask any questions about a lot or the bidding process you can reach us on 07973 692 494 during usual opening hours. 

● Bids may also be placed in person at Art Movement gallery from Tuesday 14 to Sunday 31st July 2026. 

● We will collate all bids immediately after the auction, and winning bidders will be contacted by 6pm on Saturday 1st August. Please ensure that you can be reached on the contact number / email address you provide. 

● Artworks will not be released until funds have cleared. 

● Once an online bid is submitted it forms a written contract between the signatory and Art Movement (London) Ltd to purchase the named artwork at the stated price if this is the highest bid received for the lot.

● In the event of a tied bid, both bidders will be contacted given the opportunity to raise their bid. 

● Unsold Lots will be available for sale for their reserve prices via www.art-movement.com website and in the gallery until 4pm on Saturday 1st August 2026.

● For unsold lots without a reserve price, these will be available for sale at 60% of their retail price via the www.art-movement.com until 31 August 2026

● By bidding for a Lot, the winner undertakes the responsibility to collect the artwork from the Art Movement gallery or arrange for its collection if successful within 30 days. If winners prefer to have their work delivered, they will be subject to a shipping fee. Delivery of unframed works in the UK will cost £20 (excluding NI). Framed works, and unframed works that require delivery outside the UK, will require and be subject to a separate shipping charge.

● Works bought at this Secret Silent Auction are non-returnable and may not be exchanged for cash or other artworks unless by special consent of Art Movement (London) Ltd.

● Cooling-off period: Because bidders can inspect the artworks in person, the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply. This also applies to online bids, as the auction is held at a physical venue that bidders could have attended.

● Art Movement (London) Ltd  adheres to the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing regulations 2019. This legislation requires all art dealers to verify client identity when transactions exceed £10,000.
