JANE JOHANSSON

Jane Johansson is an artist based in Lewes, East Sussex, where she works from her studio, The Cowshed, surrounded by her family, horses, and dogs. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins before beginning her career in Paris as a fashion designer. Returning to London, she founded her own label, Ursula Bombshell, before moving into costume design for contemporary dance and modern ballet. She has collaborated with leading choreographers and internationally renowned companies including San Francisco Ballet, Vienna State Opera, Stuttgart Ballet, The Royal Ballet, English National Opera, and Czech National Ballet. Johansson is also co-owner of Float Glass Design, a creative glass studio specialising in bespoke architectural glass and site-specific installations. Her work includes major public art commissions for hospitals and civic spaces, most recently a large-scale installation for the Natural History Museum, now a permanent feature in its entrance lobby. Her paintings are held in private collections
