Motorik / TWO / chromatic shift continues the Arpeggi series, translating syncopated rhythm into modular components arranged like a musical score. Inspired by the repetitive “motorik” beat of 1970s Krautrock, it explores pulse and structure through visual form.
Rather than editing digitally, I cut and reassembled the work at a sculptural stage, building it in three dimensions before rendering it as a two-dimensional image. This process creates fragments that bleed across the composition, producing subtle chromatic shifts.
The final piece uses nine horizontal elements arranged on a vertical grid, originally spanning around 200 cm in height.
