Polina Annikova is a London-based artist whose practice centres onexperimentation, materiality, and the relationship between process, outcome, and context. Working with natural and human-made materials, she explores the interaction of fragments and resolved forms, interrogating the boundaries between object, event, and system. Materials are treated as active collaborators, shaping outcomes in unexpected ways. Remnants, by-products, and experimental fragments are integral to her
practice, often occupying spaces of both production and exhibition. Layers of process and traces of past decisions shape outcomes that act as records of transformation as well as independent objects. The cyclical nature of her practice, where elements are recycled and reinterpreted into new configurations, forms a system that sustains itself. Through ongoing experimentation and iteration, Annikova’s work remains
open-ended, resisting fixed meaning and highlighting the vitality of material.
