Monica Popham


Monica Popham (1997) is a Gibraltarian landscape artist based in London whose work explores the interplay of light and architecture across Mediterranean spaces. In 2024, Popham won Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year which led to a commission for the London Science Museum, where her piece now forms part of their permanent collection. The work captured the renewable energy landscape of Orkney through her distinctive language of light and form. Her paintings are also held in the Soho House Collection and the Gibraltar Government Art Collection through her many successes from Gibraltar based art competitions.
Monica has exhibited internationally, including A Tale of Two Cities in Tangier (2025), The Almenara Online Exhibition, 2025 and Our Sacred Earth, a sponsored space in Art Space London Art Fair (2025), Our Sense of Place at Bermondsey Project Space, London (2022). She has also participated in multiple editions of Gibraltar’s International Art Exhibition including this years edition and the Loughborough University Degree Show.
