Art for Life
Creativity as therapy

What is the aim?

Art for life is a series of art and wellbeing workshops using the creative process (painting, drawing, storytelling and words, movement and music) to engage, communicate and express through a non-verbal language, which often best reflects our emotional state.  The sessions are designed to promote happiness and good health.

You will explore a variety of materials and techniques which have been developed to help reduce anxiety and promote and maintain wellbeing.

Art for Life sessions can be in the Studio or on Zoom.  We offer sessions for Adults, Teens and for Parents and Children together.

ABOUT MILLY GREEN, FOUNDER

I launched Art Movement in 1995 as an art dining club, representing around 80 contemporary artists, curating pop-up exhibitions and organising charity art auctions for The NSPCC and WellBeing.  I then had a gallery for 5 years and now continue to represent our core 5 leading artists at art fairs in UK and USA.

Following two years art therapy training,  (Advanced Diploma in the Therapeutic and Educational Application of the Applied Arts, Certificate in Counselling Skills and Certificate in Parents & Children at IATE, The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education), I now create and personally deliver Art for Life sessions using the arts as a non-verbal language for mental and physical wellbeing.

I continually and consciously adapt to suit the climate and believe that this type of exploration, Art for Life, seems more relevant now than ever.
